3GPP Video Streaming
3GPP creates a framework for watching videos at mobile handsets via a unicast RTP streaming. MD 3GPP HEAD END is comprised from 2 servers: BROADCASTER and STREAMING SERVER.
BROADCASTER
Broadcaster performs real-time H.263 video encoding and AMR audio encoding and encapsulates it into unicast IP UDP RTP packets. This server has to be placed close to the source of audio-video signal.STREAMING SERVER
Streaming Server provides multiplying of unicast RTP streams to multiple user mobile handsets. It also provides video-on-demand services. 3GPP video streams can be played by handsets with built in 3GPP decoders players.Technical Specifications:
